Because I’m joining in on the Super Bowl XLVIII fever, I’ve been watching Beyoncé‘s half time performance last year. F.I.E.R.C.E! – as only Queen Bey could be.
If you even need a reminder, here’s the video:
Bring it on, Bruno Mars and Red Hot Chili Peppers!
No, I’m not an Ed Sheeran fan but I really loved the version that I heard from an American Idol Season 13 hopeful. I can’t find that one so I’m sticking with the original.
This song seems fitting as I’m still feeling a bit somber that Juan Martin del Potro lost in the second round of the Australian Open. It is times like that one that I really wish I can easily “retire” from being a tennis fan.
Tennis is definitely a stressful, heartbreaking and nervous breakdown inducing sport when you’re a fan. Sigh.
Call me ignorant but it’s really been only this week that I’ve fully appreciated what Twitter can do. I used to think it was a waste of my time but then I’ve never really been the type who would post status updates regularly on Facebook or tweet something “random”.
However, I now consider myself a Twitter convert. This past week, I’ve been so obsessed with the new tennis season and because of that, I’ve started following users who frequently tweet about the latest tennis updates. I’ve also followed Juan Martin del Potro (@delpotrojuan) – not that he tweets much but apparently, he’s number 4 on the list of player with the most followers.
Speaking of del Potro, I’m really hoping he wins his match against Bernard Tomic at the Sydney International later. In the meantime, here are the highlights of his semifinal match against Dmitry Tursunov.
Today is the day that my older sister gets married. Finally! I get to read all the books that I want in the world. No more maid-of-honor/wedding organizer duties. *Happy
Here’s the song I included as part of the pre-nup video that I made for them:
Happy Saturday, everyone!
Finally! I’ve been putting off watching The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug but I was able to find time yesterday and watched it with my cousin. The first movie I really enjoyed, except for some scenes which dragged a bit, so I was definitely looking forward to this one. I wasn’t disappointed, thank God.
I have to say that I miss the baby-faced Legolas of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Apparently, Orlando Bloom is only human.
I can’t believe it’s almost the end of the year and I also can’t believe season 5 of The Voice is coming to an end next week. How time flies, indeed.
I was so very happy to see Will Champlin advance to the finals and although I love him, I think Tessanne Chin‘s going to win – she is certainly deserving. But who knows, right?
Now that The Voice‘s ending, I really need to catch up on Arrow. I think I’ve missed two or three episodes now.
The Voice is one of those shows I enjoy so much because it’s like mindless TV watching. I laugh when the coaches bicker and I immediately download the contestants’ versions of songs that I loved.
And I have to say, because of Tessanne Chin, I’ve grown to love Katy Perry‘s song “Unconditionally” and this is one of the reasons why I love The Voice. The people on the show are so talented that they’re able to make me want to listen to songs that I initially didn’t like.
Here, watch her performance:
I think she sang it way better than Katy Perry. Also, I feel like Tessanne just won the show after this, what with the confetti and all. 😉
P.S. I am so rooting for Will Champlin no matter what.
