He Belongs With Me by Sarah Darlington edited

Synopsis:

Identical twins, Maggie and Clara Ryder, both grew up with Leo Maddox, billionaire playboy, apparent alcoholic, and heir to his grandfather’s world-famous Maddox hotel empire. Their roles were cemented long ago: Maggie, as his best friend and Clara as his childhood nemesis.

But when a simple twist of fate changes everything and both girls start to fall for the lean, mean, ridiculously sexy and seemingly spoiled Leo… which girl will win his heart?

Throw in a little mischief, drama, and one smoking-hot bartender and lines are sure to blur. But one thing’s for certain, neither good-girl Maggie nor rebellious Clara will be satisfied until they each figure out where they belong.

About the Author:

Sarah Darlington lives in the DC metro area, is married to her high school sweetheart, and currently spends her time chasing around a very active toddler. As a former flight attendant, she misses the days of pantyhose, galley gossip with good friends, and traveling to new places. In the future she’d like to return to that career, but, just as flying gets into your bones, so does writing. Whenever she gets a free moment these days, she writes.

OK, I’m told He Belongs With Me by Sarah Darlington is a standalone and though it may sound like it’s a love triangle, it kind of isn’t. Hmm, well, as long as there’s no cheating and has a HEA, I’m all for it. Also, after reading that synopsis, I CAN’T WAIT!

But since we do have to wait as it won’t be released until March 4, here’s a little teaser:

Cover Reveal: Here Lies Love by Dan Thompson

I admit that I’m a big romance fan but reading the same old clichéd storylines over and over again tends to get old sometimes. Trust me, it really does. So I go through different phases, depending on my mood, just like most readers I believe. Also, indulging in too much sweetness isn’t so healthy for the brain that is why I would usually go for meatier content every so often.

Now, what makes me so excited about Here Lies Love is that it’s definitely different. It’s a YA/NA thriller by Dan Thompson and I’m quite curious about this genre. I mean, I do love to read thrillers and I obviously love New Adult so I’m looking forward to seeing the outcome.

But since we have to wait a little bit for its release this coming April 2014, here is a special preview of its gorgeous cover which I personally love. It’s the kind of cover that can immediately catch someone’s attention, and It also means that the author put a lot of thought into the whole process. I really appreciate that. What do YOU think?

Cover Reveal: Seconds Before Sunrise (The Timely Death Trilogy #2) by Shannon A. Thompson

I was so excited when I was recently given a free copy of Minutes Before Sunset, the first book of The Timely Death Trilogy, in exchange for an honest review. Click here if you want to know what I thought of it.

I don’t think I’ve ever admitted outright how much of a fan I’ve become of the Fantasy/Paranormal/Supernatural Romance genres (though I can never tell which is which) but this series is definitely right up my alley. Nothing like an imagination overload! I mean, I used to only know of fallen angels, vampires, werewolves, witches and wizards but since Harry Potter and Twilight, I’ve come to realize that there’s a difference between a fairy and a faery – besides the spelling – and there are such creatures like Hematoi, Shadowhunters and in this case, Shades.

I’m lucky enough to be a part of Shannon A. Thompson‘s Seconds Before Sunrise cover reveal. Now I really can’t wait for the second installment, which is set to be released on March 22, 2014. (OK, THREE MORE MONTHS TO GO! I can be patient. *sigh)

Seconds Before Sunrise

Synopsis:

Two nightmares. One memory.

“Chaos within destiny. It was the definition of our love.”

Eric has weeks before his final battle when he’s in an accident. Forced to face his human side, he knows he can’t survive if he fights alone. But he doesn’t want to surrender, even if he becomes the sacrifice for war.

Jessica’s memory isn’t the only thing she’s lost. Her desire to find her parents is gone and so is her confidence. But when fate leaves nightmares behind, she decides to find the boy she sees in them, even if it risks her sanity.

But wait, there’s more! Because Shannon‘s so awesome and thoughtful, she’s come up with a little scavenger hunt of facts. For every participating blog, there’s a unique fact included. Better continue reading below to find out what I got for you.

This month, here are the three sequels that I can’t wait to finally get my hands on!

Book Buzz: My Apocalyptic Reads

I’ve been so looking forward to reading these two books. The thing is, they’re both apocalyptic stories. It’s a bit of a surprise actually that I really enjoyed Promise Me Darkness (Promise Me #1) so it should follow that I’d want to read the next and final installment – Promise Me Light (Promise Me #1). After all, a good is a good book no matter the genre, thus, Red Hill.

Red Hill by Jamie McGuire

goodreads blurb:

Recognizing they can’t outrun the danger, Scarlet, Nathan, and Miranda desperately seek shelter at the same secluded ranch, Red Hill. Emotions run high while old and new relationships are tested in the face of a terrifying enemy—an enemy who no longer remembers what it’s like to be human.

Set against the backdrop of a brilliantly realized apocalyptic world, love somehow finds a way to survive. But what happens when the one you’d die for becomes the one who could destroy you?
